Okinawan Karate, founded by Shoki Nakamura and continued by his son Shigeru Nakamura, is not just a school of martial arts but a true Okinawan martial art focusing on the refinement and transmission of "Te" (手, meaning "hands"). Sensei Osamu Nishihara from the Okinawa Kenpo Daihei Dojo meticulously instructs the essence of martial power derived from "forms" and "breathing techniques." His teachings transcend styles and organizations, focusing on essential martial skills necessary for overcoming differences in arm strength, body size, and the effects of aging.
Born in 1964 in Okinawa Prefecture, Osamu Nishihara studied Uechi-ryu Karate, Kyokushin Karate, and powerlifting before joining the Okinawa Kenpo Nakamura Dojo Headquarters. He was granted the rank of fifth dan and instructor by the headquarters chairman, Joko Nakamura. Subsequently, he established the Okinawa Kenpo Daihei Dojo Headquarters and dedicated himself to instructing and promoting Okinawan Kenpo through the Kanto branch. He holds the rank of second dan in Ryukyu Kobudo.
