Yoshida's close friends including artists ASKA and Tsunku♂ attended his retirement. In front of a packed Nippon Budokan audience, he faced his beloved disciple Kazuhiro Nakamura in a serious match. Though losing by decision after fighting the full three 5-minute rounds, he closed his fighting career with dignity, leaving a lasting impression on his fans.
