Alain Guerrier
Alain Guerrier began practicing Aikido in Marseille under Abe Sensei in 1959. He continued his training with Nakazono Sensei and Tamura Sensei. In April 1969, he traveled to Japan to meet the founder, Morihei Ueshiba, but was unable to fulfill this dream due to the founder's critical illness. Guerrier then stayed in Japan for four years, teaching French at Athénée Français and the Institut Franco-Japonais while training at Aikikai Hombu Dojo under Yamaguchi Sensei, Osawa Sensei, Saotome Sensei, and Doshu Kisshomaru Ueshiba. After returning to France, he has been teaching Aikido at Nice University, Frejus, and various other locations. He holds the rank of 7th Dan from Aikikai.
